Recently, we received a very urgent and important question from a customer:
"A while ago, there was news about an allergic reaction to a tea-based soap, right? Isn't tea-based cosmetics actually dangerous...?"

The Truth About That "Tea Soap"
The mass allergic reaction incident involving tea soap that became a social issue in the past. In reality, the cause was not tea (green tea), but rather "wheat-derived ingredients (hydrolyzed wheat)" that were blended in to improve lather.
It was not the tea ingredients, but the wheat-derived ingredients added to the soap that penetrated the skin barrier and caused allergies. (※Currently, those ingredients are no longer used, and that famous soap that caused the incident is now sold with a revised formula.)
In other words, the truth of this incident was that "tea was not the cause."

Numerous research papers in the medical and pharmaceutical fields, on the contrary, report that "green tea has an effect of suppressing allergies."
